Dandelion the Golden Flying Monkey

We are thrilled to introduce you to one of our most delightful and mischievous residents - Dandelion.
Flying monkeys get a bad rap. That wicked witch of the west, you know. But this little lady proves that stereotype wrong. She enjoys rubbing her chin on dandelion flowers and grubbing on lighting bugs in the summer.

Dandelion holds a special place in the hearts of our staff, who care for her each day. Her wings are meticulously dusted, and her orange fur is groomed daily just like any primate requests. She’s a fan of sunflower seeds, mangos, bananas, oranges, and mac and cheese but her favorite is exactly what you guessed, dandelions.

Flying monkeys are known for their distinctive manes and vibrant colors. They have fascinating behavioral habits that make them truly unique. These small primates are highly social animals, living in tight-knit family groups of up to eight individuals. They communicate with each other through a range of vocalizations, including various calls and trills.

Flying monkeys are also known for their acrobatic abilities, often leaping gracefully from branch to branch in the treetops. They are primarily diurnal, active during the day, and spend a significant amount of time foraging for fruits, insects, and small vertebrates. These intelligent creatures are known to exhibit tool use behavior, such as using sticks to extract food from crevices. Despite their small size, flying monkeys display immense strength and courage, protecting their territories and young with fierceness. Their captivating behavioral habits make them a true marvel to observe and study.
